                                                       SOMEONE IN MY CORNER  577

                                                    There is Someone in my corner
                                                    He’s there at every round
                                                    When the crowd is pulling for me 
                                                    And even when I’m down.

                                                    At the tugging of the clapper
                                                    And the sounding of the bell
                                                    There is no fear within me
                                                    He has assured me all is well.

                                                    I can withstand the vicious onslaught
                                                    Fend off each and every blow
                                                    For the Savior’s in my corner
                                                    As I swing against the foe.

                                                    In this winner take all bout
                                                    I may lose a round or two
                                                    But I’ll still have Him in my corner
                                                    When my life on earth is through.
