In writing about giving, Ralp Waldo Emerson
wrote...
"The poet brings his poem
The shepHerd, his lamb
The farmer, a corn
The minor , a gem
The sailor, coral and shell
The painter, his picture
The girl, a handkerchief or her own sewing."
Isn't it amazing that so many of us so often
attempt to offer God and man some other person's
talent.
We try so hard, at times, to change our
personality like unto someone else's...which isn't
compatible with God's plan for us at all.
If God or man calls upon us for our talents or
services, let us give, as best we can...a portion of
ourselves.
