                                                   ISAIAH 33:2,5,6,10,20-22

O Lord, be gracious unto us
                                      We have waited for thee
Be thou [our] arm every morning
Our salvation also in the time of trouble

The Lord is exalted for he dwelleth on high
He hath filled Zion with judgment and righteousness
And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability
of thy times and strength of salvation
The fear of the Lord is his treasure

Now will I rise, saith the Lord
                                    Now will I be exalted
Now will I lift myself up

Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities
Thine eyes shall see Jerusalem, a quiet habitation
A tabernacle that shall not be taken down
Not one of the stakes thereof shall ever be removed
Neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken
                                       But there the glorious Lord
will be unto us a place of broad rivers and streams

For the Lord is our judge
                                                      The Lord is our lawgiver
                                                      The Lord is our king
                                                      He will save us

HELP US MAKE OUR DAY GO THROUGH

"An open hand, an easy shoe
And a hope to make the day go through"
                                          --Author Unknown

When dark perils thick surround us
At the dawning of the day
Give us words to greatly cheer us
As our trust in thee holds sway
Turn our gray, gray skies to blue
Help us make our day go through

Give us Lord, thy calm assurance
Lead us gently by thy hand
Quit us with thy spirit's armour
Let his promptings be our command
When risks are high and friends are few
Help us make our day go through

Let thy hand, O Lord, be open
Give our foot an easy shoe
Give us hope that produces courage
To do the things we ought to do
Wake us to thy loving kindness
And help us make our day go through

GOD WILL BE GLORIFIED

4/26/2018

                                                       GOD WILL BE GLORIFIED

One truth that has settled and heart
these past few years is this...God
                                      will be glorified.
If we fail to praise him, the stones
and rocks shall raise up, speak out
and glorify his name. (Luke 40:19)

If we do not glorify God, does it make
any difference? If we are not glorifying
God, who then are we really glorifying?

King David tells us that the day will come
in which all nations shall come and worship
before the Lord, and glorify his name.
                                      (Psalm 56:10)

Individually, Jesus asks each of us to glorify
our Father which is in heaven.(Matt.5:16).

Saint Paul exhorts us:"With one mind and
mouth, glorify God, even the Father of our
                                      Lord Jesus Christ.(Romans 15:6).

Our Heavenly Father, help us right now,
this very day, by word and by deed, to
glorify Thee. In Jesus' name, Amen.

                                          ISAIAH 32:1,2,5,9,17

                                        Behold, a king shall reign
                                        in righteousness and princes
                                        shall rule in judgment

And a man shall be as a hiding place
                                   from the wind
And a covert [hiding place] from the tempest
as rivers of water in a dry place
as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land

The vile person shall be no more called liberal
nor the churl [miser] said to be bountiful

Rise up ye women that are at ease
Hear my voice, ye careless daughters
                                    Give hear unto my speech

And the work of righteousness shall be peace
And the effect of righteousness quietness
                                      and assurance forever

NO INSTANT BUTTERFLIES

                                                         NO INSTANT BUTTERFLIES

                                    An unknown author has written,
"You can make the clock strike
before the hour by putting your
hand on it, but it will strike wrong."

"You can tear the rose bud open
before its time, but you will mar
                                    its beauty."

"So, we may soil many a gift of blessings
which God is preparing for us by our
own eager haste. He who is weaving
our lives has a perfect plan for each
[of us], don't pull at the threads."

The Psalmist tells us, "Wait on the Lord,
be of good courage..Wait, I say, on the Lord."
                                    (Psalm 27:14)

In simple terms, the Lord is trying to teach
us that in God's time table, there are no
                                    instant butterflies.

                                                                                ON BEING KINDER

"Shall we make a new rule of life tonight."
wrote James Barrie, "always to try to be a
                                            little kinder than is necessary?"

We Live in a world in which governments

and institutions oft time appear desirous of
                                            substituting cruelty for kindness.
You and I can reverse this trend, but it has
to be accomplished on an individual, personal
                                            heart-to-heart basis.

                                            Tonight, be kinder...

                                            to yourself
                                            to your spouse
                                            to your children
                                            to your neighbors
                                            to your world.
                                            Kindness that transcends necessity
                                            asks us
to go the second smile.

                                                   We are all
                                              on the road
                                              to Emmaus
                                              All of us
                                              One by one
                                              While the father's
                                              Christ
                                              Remains hidden
                                              Unrecognized
                                              Unknown
                                              And ever shall
                                              Remain that way
                                              Until he
                                              The Lord Christ
                                              Reveals himself
                                              To us and converts us

ISAIAH 31:4,5.9

                                                                   ISAIAH 31:4,5.9

For thus hath the Lord spoken
unto me, like as the young lion
                                roaring on his prey
                                When a multitude of shepherds
                                is called forth against him

He will not be afraid of their voice
nor abase himself for the noise
                                of them

So shall the Lord of hosts come down
to fight for mount Zion and for the hill
                                thereof

As birds flying, so will the Lord of hosts
                                defend Jerusalem:defending also
he will deliver it and passing over
                                he will preserve it

And he shall pass over his strong hold
for fear and his princes shall be afraid
of the ensign, saith the Lord, whose fire
is in Zion and his furnace in Jerusalem

A CHILD OF GOD

                                                                A CHILD OF GOD

                             Looking backward, over the past
                             (two many) decades, we observed
that we let go of God's hand.
The good news is that he has not
taken his hands off our life.

                             Because we have personally experienced
his unfailing and everlasting love, we
cannot help but believe that God holds
                             the same compassion and concern
for all his children, regardless of their
                             past sins.

We are the children of a very loving
heavenly father who loves us still.
Seek him while he may be found.
His blessings are infinite. His mercy
                             is wide and deep.
