                           PSALM 12:1,2,6,7

                                         Help, Lord
                                    for the godly man
                                           ceaseth
                                    for the faithful fail
                                     They speak vanity
                               every one with his neighbor
                                     with flattering lips
                                          and with
                                      a double heart
                                      do they speak

                                             The
                                     words of the Lord
                                              are
                                         pure words
                                         as silver
                                   tried in the furnace
                                          of earth
                                          purified
                                       seven times

                                  Thou shalt keep them
                                            O Lord
                                Thou shalt preserve them
                                    from this generation
                                          forever

A MOMENT IN TIME and JUST REMEMBER

                                               A MOMENT IN TIME

That's all we have isn't it? A single
moment in time, one moment after
another, and another, until our lives
accumulate enough of them that we
begin to count the minutes, hours,
days. Until they become our very
                                      lives.

                                      We say...
I'll be with you in a moment, or
Wait, just one moment, or even
This is the moment we've been
                                      waiting for.

The moments slip by and we take no
time to say hi, or perhaps, goodbye.
The moment arrives to make amends
but we move on to other trivial things.

                                      Every moment is precious.Truly beyond
comprehension. What shall we do with
each of our remaining moments in time?
How may moments do we have left?

Indeed, our time is surely running out.
Why don't we just pause for a moment,
                                      and ponder that?

                                                  JUST REMEMBER

When your days appear the darkest
And your fortunes continue to fall
                                         When your valleys seem immeasurable
And your mountains seem too tall
                                         Just remember, just remember
                                         God is there

When your hopes have turned to ashes
And your dreams have turned to dust
                                         When your granaries are empty
And your silver's turned to rust
                                         Just remember, just remember
                                         God is there

When your back is up against the wall
And you've lost your will to strive
When the night has hidden your sunlight
And you've lost your zip and drive,
                                         Just remember, just remember
                                         God is there

When your friends politely leave you
And you don't know where to turn
When your world has stopped its caring
                                         And has forsaken its concern
                                         Just remember
                                         God is there

THE BEST BIRD IN THE FOREST

THE BEST BIRD IN THE FOREST

                               "Use what talents you have,"
                               Wrote Henry Van Dyke.
"The woods would be very silent,
                               If no birds sang there."

Maybe you aren't the best bird in the forest right now.
Maybe your warble is a little weak.
Maybe you are a little too long or too short in the beak.
Maybe your fine feathered friends call you a freak.
Maybe, just maybe, they don’t understand.
                               The heights that you seek.

Fly higher, sing better, go on, go on.
                               Give it your best.
                               Develop your talents.
                               Lead all the rest.
                               Don’t settle for worms.
                               Or corn on the ground.
                               But soar to the top.
                               Where the eagles are found.

 A PACKAGE FROM HOME

                                                         A PACKAGE FROM HOME

Have you ever received a package from
from home? Maybe while you were away
at college or in the service or just on a long
extended business trip. Perhaps  its wrapper
                                      possessed markings such as "fragile"
                                      or "handle with care."

If we believe that we come from God, "who is
our home," then the first package we received
from Him was our very lives.

What a delicate package life is. How fragile.
Would we not be wise if we were to handle
                                      every life "with care"?

Sooner or later, most of us receives a package
marked "Good News for You." (Unfortunately,
instead of unwrapping this particular package,
we often let it lie around on our coffee table,
unopened, or we toss it on the top shelf
                                      of our closet.
Or in our rushing around, we simply consider
it to be another piece of junk mail and throw
it in the trash can with nary a backward glance.

While we seldom return our good news
package to the Original Sender, we often
ignore its valuable contents, usually to our
own peril. It's like receiving a cashier's check
for one million dollars and never cashing it.

This night as we read our mail, may we
realize that every package we may receive...
our family, our friends, the good news, or
life itself...is being sent to us by a loving,
                                      benevolent Heavenly Father.

And His packages are sent to each of us
                                      by special delivery.

SPIRITUAL Rx #2

Here is some more spiritual tonic
for the soul and body. We hope these
                                    verses serve you well.

1. Psalm 1:2... (My) delight is in the law
of the Lord; and in his law do I meditate
                                    day and night.

                                    2.  Psalm 18:2... The Lord is my rock,
and my fortress, and my deliverer; My
                                    God, my strength in whom I will trust;
my buckler, and the horn of my salvation,
                                    and my high tower.

                                           3. Psalm 29:2... Give unto the Lord the
glory due unto his name; worship the
Lord in the beauty of holiness.

4. Psalm 30:2... O Lord my God, I cried
unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

                                    5. Psalm 40:2... He brought me up also out
of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and
set my feet upon a rock, and established
                                    my goings.

                                    6. Psalm 51:2... Wash me thoroughly from
mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

                                    7. Psalm 57:2... I will cry unto God most high;
unto God that performeth all things for me.

                                    8. Psalm 66:2... Sing forth the honor of his
                                    name:make his praise glorious.

                                    9. Psalm 67:2... That thy way may be known
upon the earth, thy saving health among

all nations.

                                    10.  Psalm 95:2...Let us come before his
                                    presence with thanksgiving, and make
a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
