THE CHRISTIAN IDEAL
"The Christian ideal," wrote Harold Begbie.
has not been tried and found wanting:it has
been found difficult and left untried."
In every generation, there are those who
would scoff at Christianity and label it pass'.
But there are those of us who have tried
Christianity, and while finding it difficult,
have found it most satisfying.
Christianity needs no substantive apologetics,
no philosopher's eloquent argumentation, no
lawyer's sure defense.
For, you see, two thousand years ago, Christianity
was defended perfectly through the teachings and
life of one man, Jesus Christ, the Son of the living
God.
