The other evening, we were feeling quite low,
both physically and emotionally, due to a
temporary, losing bout with laryngitis.
We were doing some writing in our study, when
our wife, Donna, came in.
Said she, "How about some cheery pie, Honey, to
make you feel better."
"Cheery Pie?" We said. "You mean cherry don't you?"
"No, no, Cheery pie, to make you feel better."
"Okay," we said, "and make sure it's a big piece.
The bigger, the better."
Oh, thank God for those loved ones and gentle,
close acquaintances who know how to dish up a large
piece of cheery pie when we need one.
