DROWNED RATS
Two hundred years ago, our
forefathers committed themselves
to a six year war with the British army
simply because the colonists thought
it was a bit unfair to be taxed without
representation.
Now we wouldn't want to presume that
our present day citizens are a little slow
on their feet regarding economics and
politics, but we do wonder why it has
taken them so long to realize that there is
something far worse than taxation without
representation, and that just happens to be...
Taxation with representation!
We hardily support the present taxpayer
revolt. It is at least 25 years overdue.
It is not enough to throw a few tea bags
over the rails. Perhaps it is now time to
sink a few rotten boats.
Many of our politicians are scurrying
around dazed, confused, fat, rich and
lazy. Let's keep after those nasty rodents.
Now is the time for a few drowned rats.
