EPIPHANY
In many churches, January 6 celebrates the
visit of the three Kings or Wise men to the
baby Jesus. It is one of the oldest Christian
celebrations, dating back to the second
century, A.D. It is often known as Twelth
night, or the Feast of the Epiphany.
In addition to its religious connotations,
Epiphany may mean the sudden manifestation,
perception or an illuminating discovery of an
important idea or truth.
During the Christmas season, many of us reflect
on the year past as to whether we did well to
follow the teachings and examples as set forth
by Jesus Christ. And many of us commit to doing
better and being better in the year ahead.
While it is good to have an epiphany at Christmas
time, there are no limits to how many epiphanies
we may have as we seek them throughout the
whole year.
May 2018 continuously shine forth with gracious
epiphanies for you and all your family and friends.
