FATHER'S DAY (1978)
There's one question we'd like to ask
By an eloquent or simple word
In all this human race, who
Could ever take the place
Of Father
Who could equal his style or grace
His twinkling eyes or his smiling face
Who could ever match a love so rare
Or who, for his children, could care
Like Father.
There's a fellow we all know
Who did his best to help us grow
Toiled, sweated and shed a tear
Gave us courage and calmed our fear
Twas Father.
Through our laughter and our tears
He's been our friend these many years
So we exclaim with zeal and zest
There is one whom we love best
Our Father.
