From my little window up above
I look down on the summer grass
And the trees still leafing in the sun
As I gaze upon this sultry scene
Into the room a comforting soft breeze
Comes wafting through the window
Strong, comfortable and soft
Like an angel's gentle hand
Caressing my face while passing by
Days and nights are still very warm,
But that cool summer breeze
Lets me know summer is passing on,
To be replaced by cold blustery winds
That just might chill my broken bones
