IN THE DARK
We enjoyed a recent article
in Guideposts magazine about
a mother and her six-year old son.
It had been a tiring day and finally
in desperation, the mother said,
"I am going to blow a fuse if I don't
get your full cooperation."
"Don't blow a fuse, said her young
son, "or you'll put out the lights."
Talk about power shortages! Every time
we overload our communicative and
psychological systems, we seem to find
ourselves eating a cold supper in the dark.
Fortunately, the Holy Spirit continually presses
our reset buttons and keeps the need scrupulous
needed power flowing into our souls.
(This article was written in 1977. And after all these
years, I still to manage to blow a fuse, which I truly regret.)
