INDIAN SUMMER
The moon seems five feet wider
The aroma of burning leaves releases
memories of yesteryear
The multicolored trees line our streets,
and there's a chill wind in the air
The vibrancy of the evening breezes send
an air of expectancy coursing through our veins
We sense that a beautiful change is taking place
everywhere in nature
And if in nature, why not us
As we say goodbye to the old summer season,
let us prepare for the new autumn one to come
As the winter winds begin to blow
