                     LIGHT UP THE DARKNESS  582

                 "With God's help we can light the darkness."

                 O Lord 
                 Give unto us
                 A powerful lamp
                 That will light up the darkness
                 That those whom we shall meet
                 Might savor life
                 And find it sweet
                 And fine in every moment
                 The joy of living
                 Of giving and forgiving
                 Of striving and gaining
                 That which is eternal
                 And everlasting
                 Help us be part
                 Of the light
                 When and where
                 We can
