MY MOTHER
My mother, Cleo Frances Finch, passed away many years ago.
I must admit that I remember more my about my father than I do
about "Mum" as we all called to her whenever we came home.
Mum was was very pretty when she married my dad ("Pop").
They had one other child, my sister Pat Morgan Hazel.
I was born six years after my sister, so it was very natural
for Mum to be more attached to Pat than to me. (You can
always spoil a young girl easier than a younger boy).
However, don't feel sorry for me in the least, for Pop
surely spoiled me.
What I remember about Mum is that she was very well
educated, and very intelligent. She knew how to play the
piano very well, and loved to play Bridge. She was also
an excellent cook. We almost always had a formal dinner
in the evening, when Pop came home from work. She
truly cared for Pat and me. I miss her still and surely look
forward to seeing her again some day.
