PAY IN KIND
An unknown writer has written,"One can never
pay in gratitude; he only can only pay 'in kind'
somewhere else in life."
As most of us grow older, we look back,
in gratitude, upon our parents and their care
for us.
And, we realize the futility of striving
to repay them in any full measure for their
sacrifices on our behalf.
About the best we can do is to take
the best of what they gave us and add
unto it the best that we have to offer, and
present these gifts of love and patience
and persistence to our children, who shall
some day pass them on to their children.
We can never repay. We can only "pay
in kind"...somewhere else in life."
