SO LONG ROSIE...FOR A WHILE
(Written on December 8, 2012)
I am tired of writing obituaries for our
animals. It is very tiring to do so, and
a sad state of affairs. But, the internet
has allowed all of us the opportunity
to convey our thoughts and emotions.
In the last year and a-half, Wesly our
faithful canine companion left us,
followed by our quite, regal feline, Patsy,
and now Rosie.
Rosie, was black and gray, like Patsy, but
where Patsy had black Zebra stripes, Rosie's
colors blended together.
Of all the cats we have had, Rosie was by
far the feistiest. She loved to claw at any
animal or person who came near her.
Like all of our pets, Rosie lived far beyond
the average age allowed for cats. The last
couple of years of her live slowed her down
quite a bit, and she became our computer
cat, lying quietly between the keyboard and
the monitor, resting her head on the backspace
and delete buttons, making it difficult for us to
use them without disturbing her sleep.
We miss Rosie. But, I suspect, and surely
hope we may see her again in a little while.
What's the use of having golden streets if
there are no cats or dogs running on them.
So long, Rosie...for awhile.
(I doubt Rosie overly enjoyed having to
share this writing with Patsy and Wesly!)
