THE GREATEST DISCOVERY
If you were asked, "What has been the
greatest discovery in the past hundred years," What would your answer be?
The atomic bomb? Penicillin? Polio vaccine?
Computer chips? The Internet? Pet Rocks?
(Hey, they get my vote!)
Perhaps the answers could be as numerous
as the stars. However, we are rather partial
toward the answer given by that great psychologist, William James...
"The greatest discovery of my generation is
that human beings can alter their lives by altering
their attitudes of mind."
Of course, while this principle may have been
rediscovered in our generation, it is not really new.
Proverbs 23:7 continues to remind us that "as
(a man) thinketh in his heart so is he."
We become what we think about and ponder
upon, day after day.
Can we become victorious by continually thinking
defeat? Shall we become holy if we continue to
permit our minds to wander down the corridors
of unholy thoughts?
As we think in our hearts, so are we, and so we
shall become.
May this thought be our greatest discovery of
our lives this day.
