THE SQUARE VERSUS THE CUBE 570
Have you ever wrestled with an ice tray...
and lost?
When it comes to twisting those frosty little
cubes out of their tightly packed cubicles,
we continually find ourselves wishing we were
strictly hot chocolate drinkers.
When battling a fourteen cube tray, we feel
fortunate if we salvage more than three cubes.
(Up to seven cubes either slide across the floor,
fall into the grease can, or bounce into the dog's
water dish. And, at least four cubes always
remain steadfastly lodged within the tray.)
So there you have it. The square versus the
cube... and his thumbs develop frostbite.
Ah, for the good old days when ice arrived in
one large block... and the ice pick...was king.
