TO EAT ALONE
The other evening, we were eating alone.
Donna was off shopping and the kids were
scattered throughout the neighborhood. As
for fixing dinner, we had to fend for ourself.
So, we prepared our dinner. Not being the
best, everything we cooked, came out burnt
(except the ice-cubes...they just melted.)
Dishes, pots and pans were strewn all over
the place.
As we attempted to eat our burnt cuisine,
With every new bite, we started mumbling
about our lot in life, particularly because
we had to eat alone.
A few days later, we were eating out with
some friends at one of our favorite restaurants.
In between a couple of bites, a thought ran
through our mind...'Tis better to eat alone,
than never to have never eaten at all.
Ah, the Lord is still trying to get us to be
content, exactly where we are...that He
may move us to where He is.
