WE ARE...WE DO
More than once in our reading of quotes by
other writers, we have noticed that while what
they wrote was true, it was easy to see that the
reverse of their statements could be true also.
Take for instance this thought by Angie
Papadakis...
"The more you do, the more you are."
We have found that to be true, but we have also
found the reverse to be true...
"The more you are, the more you do."
We find this latter idea to be particularly
appropriate to those who call themselves Christians.
If we are born again,
We leave the old ways behind
If we are followers of Jesus,
We cast out our nets for men
If we are trusting in the Lord,
We rely not on the arms of flesh
If we are looking for His coming,
We worship Him in the present hour
If we are sheltered in His arms of love
We find contentment where we are
In essence, the more we "are" in Christ
The more we glorify Him by what we "do."
